Presentation at Royal College of Psychiatrists Trainee Workshop

On 14th March 2025 I gave an invited talk titled 'Neurodiversity and Evolution' for the Evolutionary Psychiatry Special Interest Group at the Royal College of Psychiatrists headquarters on Prescott Street in London, before leading some discussion groups of young psychiatrists and psychiatric trainees.
The event was a huge success - gratitude to the organisers, particularly Tom Carpenter, Ben Griffin and Costa Savvy. On a personal note, it is particularly invigorating to meet the psychiatrists of the future, rather than be presenting to those more advanced in their careers, as is more normal. I experienced a level of enthusiasm which was fairly unprecedented, and in the discussion groups it really became clear that the new generation are open minded and keen for fresh perspectives on old and poorly resolved problems. I look forward to future events and collaborations with the people I met there.
